I pursued medical oncology for my career because of the unique opportunity to provide longitudinal care for patients during their most vulnerable times. Oncology has evolved arguably more rapidly than any other field of medicine in the last couple of decades, and I will help my patients navigate and understand the cutting-edge advances in cancer diagnostics and treatments.

The best outcomes involve addressing all three phases of care - before a diagnosis with personalized risk assessment and screening, during a diagnosis with a blend of cutting edge technology and surgical skill, and after a diagnosis with a focus on survivorship and wellness. Two goals when it comes to treating breast cancer: First identify and provide every proven method of treatment available worldwide and second make it personal! Second, one patient at a time - all breast cancers are NOT the same and every patient’s plan should be catered to their needs.

Breast cancer touches the lives of so many every day. For women (and some men) with breast cancer, or pre-cancerous conditions of the breast, I provide compassionate, personalized, evidence-based, comprehensive care including cancer-prevention, treatment, and ideal supportive care.

My goal as a physician is to provide personalized care for my patients, tailoring state-of-the-art therapy to their individual situations, and providing them access to cutting-edge clinical trials. I believe that the care of my patients extends well beyond just focusing on the optimal therapy of their cancer; my approach is to treat patients as an individual, addressing all the social, emotional and psychological issues that arise secondary to a cancer diagnosis.

I strive to treat every patient as if they were my own family member, while concurrently providing state-of-the-art multidisciplinary cancer care that’s close to home.

Getting a diagnosis of cancer is the most challenging thing any patient and family will have to go through. My job is to provide the most comprehensive options for patients, with state-of-the-art care and compassion.

Caring for women with breast cancer is a privilege. I am tasked with determining the very best treatment for each individual patient and working collaboratively with them on their journey.

I am mindful of how life altering a diagnosis of cancer can be, not just for the patient, but all the loved ones in their life as well. Patients and families rightly deserve, and will always get the very best of us in intelligence and compassion, along with access to state of the art treatment which is continually improving long-term outcomes.

From benign breast problems to breast cancer it’s my passion to keep informed of the latest treatments and technologies that benefit my patients. I love working with an experienced and dedicated team of physicians who work to personalize and tailor each treatment plan to best meet the needs of the patient as an individual - and the family as a whole.

We have seen remarkable advances in the understanding and treatment of cancer in the last few years. Providing my patients with compassionate, state of the art care is what inspires me everyday.

Sarcomas are uncommon, so most of our patients will have already seen one or more doctors before being referred. The VCS sarcoma team works hard to get the right diagnosis and the optimal treatment plan for our patients quickly and compassionately.

Compassion for patients and excitement for scientific breakthroughs have always motivated me as an oncologist. I feel privileged to treat patients with challenging diseases with an expanding array of effective therapies.

Every cancer patient and their family are different, with their own unique needs. My goal is to design an individual treatment plan to help each and every one of my patients to achieve the best outcome possible.

The best part of my job is connecting with my patients and helping to demystify the fears and anxiety often associated with a cancer diagnosis. I want my patients to feel empowered and to continue to find life fulfilling in spite of living with cancer, and if I can contribute in a meaningful way, I have done my job.

I chose to be an oncologist in order to help people through one of life’s most challenging times.
