COVID19 Update: For our patient’s protection, there is a limit one (1) visitor per patient if necessary. No visitors are allowed in the chemo infusion room. Telemedicine visits are available for routine office visits. Message to All Patients, very important: Regardless of vaccination status – If you are experiencing a fever or cold-like like symptoms, which also include GI Symptoms and Diarrhea, you should contact your Virginia Cancer Specialists Advice Line before visiting our clinics for scheduled appointments. This includes symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing or difficulty breathing.

Effective May 11, 2023: the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) will expire. Virginia Cancer Specialist (VCS) will adopt a mask optional policy. The Health and Safety of our Patients and Employees is always our top priority. If you prefer your healthcare team to wear a mask during your visit, please let us know. Additionally, Virginia Cancer Specialists’ staff may ask you to wear a mask during your visit.

Virginia Cancer Specialists uses an automated appointment reminder system that will call two business days before your appointment to confirm the time and location. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call the office as soon as possible to reschedule. If you have an urgent medical problem and want to request a same day appointment, please call our office as soon as you can.

Our physicians and staff make every effort to see that your appointment takes place at the scheduled time. However, given the nature of an oncology practice, it is not unusual for delays to occur during the course of the day. We recognize that your time and that of your family is valuable. If your appointment is inordinately delayed, we will give you the opportunity to reschedule, if medically appropriate.

The My Care Plus Patient Portal offers registered users secure messaging for non-urgent questions.  To register, patients may complete required paperwork in the office (visit the My Care Plus information site for more information).  In order to then log-in, please visit http://www.mycareplusonline.com.  Non-urgent phone calls may be directed to your office.
