 Isabelle Le, MD brings additional expertise in breast cancer to the practice

Fairfax, VA January 17, 2023 — Virginia Cancer Specialists, a leading provider of comprehensive cancer care in the Northern Virginia area and an affiliate of The US Oncology Network, is adding another medical oncologist to its staff, enhancing access to community-based advanced cancer care throughout the region. Isabelle Le, MD has extensive experience and training in the diagnosis and treatment of all blood diseases and cancers, and has a special interest in breast cancer.  She joined the practice on December, 2022 and will see patients at the cancer center’s Arlington Office, located at 1635 N. George Mason DR., Suite 170, Arlington, VA 22205.

Dr. Le is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). As a medical oncologist, Dr. Le has a strong focus in the treatment and management of breast cancer. Dr. Le received her medical degree from Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit, MI. She then completed residency training in internal medicine at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Le received hematology oncology fellowship training at University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Le received resident of the year award during her training. She was also the physician champion for her oncology practice participating in the Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium; a physician led, voluntary collaborative of medical and gynecologic oncologists. In addition, Dr. Le was the principal breast oncologist for several multidisciplinary breast cancer tumor boards and the Principal Investigator (PI) for several clinical trials focused on Breast Cancer.

Dr. Le will be joining a team of 37 other highly skilled physicians at Virginia Cancer Specialists, the premier oncology group in the region with 10 locations throughout the area to serve patients. The practice has specialized physician expertise in all types of cancers. The addition of Dr. Le broadens this expertise and adds depth to the practice’s knowledge base and patient care model.
