Dr. Feldman brings extensive experience in multidisciplinary team care, cutting-edge research protocols and nationally recognized surgical procedures to the practice

Fairfax, Va. (July 8, 2019) — Virginia Cancer Specialists (VCS) is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Feldman, MD, FACS, to the practice. A highly-skilled breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Feldman has years of rigorous education, training and experience in all recommended and nationally accepted surgical procedures for breast cancer, as well as expertise in the management of complex breast issues, enhancing VCS’ comprehensive breast care services. VCS, a practice in The US Oncology Network, is a premier cancer care and research center in Northern Virginia with more than 40 years of service to patients.

Dr. Feldman received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her internship at Penn State-Hershey Medical Center, as well as her first two years of residency. She then became a fellow at the National Cancer Institute, completing a three-year basic science and clinical research fellowship in Surgical Oncology. Dr. Feldman finished the remainder of her residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. After completing a Society of Surgical Oncology Breast Surgery Fellowship at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md., she was an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital.

In practice since 2008, Dr. Feldman is well-known and respected throughout the region and has been treating patients in Northern Virginia since 2013. She has been recognized as a “Top Doc” in both the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazine for several years. Dr. Feldman is an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons as well as the American College of Surgeons where she serves on various committees. She has a special interest in nipple sparing mastectomy, oncoplastic breast conservation and patients who are at high risk for developing breast cancer.
