Virginia Cancer Specialists' Physicians

Dr. Samuel Lee joins us from New York University Perlmutter Cancer Center, where he completed his fellowship in both hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Lee received his MD degree from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he received the Calvin Fentress Research Fellowship Award. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

At NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center, Dr. Lee researched the relationship between colorectal cancer development and immune response. At University of Wisconsin, he evaluated institutional non-core chemotherapy regimens for the treatment of leukemia and multiple myeloma. Dr. Lee presented his research at various meetings, including the annual American Society of Hematology Conference, and published in several peer-reviewed journals.

In his spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys watching movies and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Lee is fluent in Korean.
